Human Potential

I have learnt many Sanskrit Subhashitas (Sanskrit: सुभाषित) since my childhood. Among them, one of them has remained very close to me. In fact over the years, it became deeply in grained in my belief system and started shaping my views.  In this post I am sharing that core belief of mine.

This subhashita means…

there is no letter in world that can’t be used to make a prayer…

there is no herb in this world that can’t be used as a medicine

there is no human in this world who is worthless,

But it what is rare to find are the persons who can

…find the prayers in the letter,

…find medicine in the herb

…find the worth in the human

The other quote is my interpretation of the subhashita. Some thing I deeply connect to.

Every person is a super star, you just need to find that Right Stage

Let me know your thoughts.

Fame and Us

– D V Gundappa

This beautiful “kagga” from Shri D V Gundappa is one of the poems from his widely acclaimed book  – “Mankutimmana Kagga”

Who discovered food in grains of rice?

Who discovered the power of script?

The world has not kept track of the those great men,

Why do you think you deserve to be recognized?

Action & Result

You are entitled to do your duty and action, but never to the results of your actions.

– Lord Krishna

Power of Persistence

Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

– Calvin Coolidge

Happiness is Here

Life is discounting all that we have and wandering to look for that we don’t have.

Crazy Ones

Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because…

…the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.

– Steve Jobs
