Purpose powers progress. It motivates one not to give up and lug through even during tough times. One core purpose I connect to is building a vibrant Product Management community. Bringing product professionals with diverse perspectives and enabling product thinking to create outcomes that impact millions of lives keeps the fire inside alive. It has given me numerous opportunities to network and exchange ideas and views with leaders, influencers, and professionals. These interactions have been very enriching and contributing to my development as well.
One such great opportunity presented itself in the form of building a Product Management Community at VMware as part of the India Site Strategy. While building a community is a long journey, the last 9 months of pursuing this has been a rewarding experience. In a busy world, where activities that are Urgent & Important always take precedence, working for an activity like the Product Management community will always be in the Important but not Urgent quadrant. Making time for this amidst the day job and moving the needle here required a strong alignment with the purpose.
I am delighted to receive the VMware India Site Strategy Role Model award at #vmware for our work on the PM community as a pat on the back. No journey is fun alone.
